HYUNDAI'S 2019 NEXO FUEL CELL ELECTRIC VEHICLE NAMED DIGITAL TRENDS TOP TECH OF CES 2018

Capitalizing off its successful unveiling at the 2018 Consumer Electronic Show (CES), the Hyundai 2019 NEXO Fuel Cell Vehicle has received another accolade as the Digital Trends Top Tech of CES 2018 in the automotive category. The publication highlights the NEXO as a top product in the automotive space for 2018.
One of 14 products to be recognized out of the tens of thousands displayed at this year’s CES, the award stems from the NEXO for its 370-mile range offering the same level of sturdiness as a gas-powered engine and along with the fact that its only tailpipe emission is water.
“At Hyundai, our people, planet and our vehicle performance are of the upmost importance to us,” said Mike O’Brien, vice president, Product, Corporate and Digital Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “The NEXO exemplifies that you should never need to reduce performance to improve efficiency.”
Digital Trends Top Tech of CES award entries are judged by editors who specialize in innovation, design and practicality.
NEXO is Hyundai’s second-generation of commercialized fuel cell electric vehicle that will be available in select markets around the world starting in early 2018. Improving upon the acclaimed Tucson FCEV, the NEXO’s 370 mile range is an improvement of 105 miles over its predecessor. Moreover, the vehicle boasts improved acceleration and power, ability to handle extreme temperature and environments and safety technology such as Blind-sport View Monitor and Lane Following Assist.
